Moore, J. E. (n.d.). Biomechanical Issues in Endovascular Device Design.
       This study focused on the development of long term based treatments as a
       result of biomechanical developments in stent research. Biomechanical
       modeling has long focused on short term objectives such as deployment and
       immediate treatment, with a focus now shifting towards the treatment of
       late stage thrombosis and other DES derived ailments. Incorporating drug
       delivery systems with new, slimmed geometric stent designs, biomechanical
       advancement is needed in order to treat new and never before seen
       problems associated with cardiovascular therapeutics.
