Golomb, G. (n.d.). Predicting In Vivo Efficacy of Potential Restinosis
Therapies by Cell Culture Studies: Species-Dependent Susceptibility of
Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells.
This experiment aimed to produce new and further effective animal models
for the testing of new drug delivery systems through simulated human
in-vivo environments in both smooth muscle cell cultures and the arterial
explant outgrowth model. By correlating such models with in-vitro
testing, which has been somewhat ineffective in recent years, the
inhibitory profile of new restinosis treatments may be found with an
increased level of accuracy.
