Patient 1: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The patient complained of pain within her wrist and hand. Nicole suggested she see one of the three Hand Surgeons for a 7-minute corrective surgery. She used ice to calm the hand after measurements.

Patient 2: Tendonitis in the thumb. Patient complained of pain when moving his thumb. Nicole iced the hand and created a splint that restricted motion so that the tender tendon could heal. She suggested heat before using the hand and told the patient once the thumb feels a little better they could begin strengthening.
