Patient 1: Broken index finger from catching a football the wrong way. The finger did not need operated on however became stiff and immoble after staying in a cast for so long. As the patient is well on his way to recovery his exercises include strengthening with the putty in rolling, pinching, and making circles. He also uses the velcro board to roll the handled velcro along in order to provide resistance. Ice at the end calms the discomfort caused by use in therapy.

Patient 2: A woman who had surgery on her thumb for a lower joint replacement needed a splint. Anne made a splint that immobilized the lower joint in the thumb however allowed the fingers to move as much as possible. She recommends the woman to come back to begin therapy in two weeks time.
