My name is Briannah Purvis and I am a Senior in the Independent Research G/T Program here at Hammond High. My love for the ocean and beaches as well as the surf and marine life is what sparked my interest for this research topic. Every time I go to the beach, I notice everything about it is slowly deteriorating due to increased human carelessness. The beach is not a cheap way to dispose of trash, it is a pristine natural resource. It's our responsibility as members of this planet to keep it that way.
