Dr. Branker,
My name is Graham Jacobson and I am a a rising junior in high school. I am interested in applying to Princeton University for the fall of 2012 and I plan to continue studying and performing jazz in college. I will be visiting Princeton this Thursday, August 19th, for a campus tour and information session. I am interested in meeting with you to discuss the music program and the jazz department. I understand that I have given you little notice, but my schedule on the 19th is flexible and could be adjusted to accommodate your availability.

I visited Princeton on August ninteenth for a campus tour and information session. I then proceeded to the Woolworth Music Center to see if there was anyone I could talk to concerning jazz at Princeton. Music administrator Gregory Smith explained to me everything I wanted to know about Princeton's jazz programs and opportunities.
The Follow-Up Email
Mr. Smith,
I would like to thank you for the time you spent explaining the jazz program to me and showing me the Woolworth Center. You answered many of my questions concerning the Princeton Jazz program. I am serious about applying to Princeton, and will be in touch closer to the time of my application.

I am glad that you were able to meet with Mr. Smith to discuss the jazz program and music department at Princeton. Unfortunately, I have been out of the country since Monday the16th and therefore unable to honor your request for a meeting on the 19th.
