Nuclear Energy: A Way to Power the Future

Gregory Szalkowski

Hammond High School

In the next thirty years, it is possible that global energy needs will increase by as much as 50%. With fossil fuel reserves running low, other sources of energy will have to be used to provide for this gain. While nuclear energy has had a poor reputation over the years; it is an efficient and safe energy source. This presentation will show the often overlooked benefits of nuclear energy and why nuclear energy should be implemented as a replacement for fossil fuels.
