Title: Alternative Energy & Professional Opinion
Thesis: In surveying professionals working with alternative energy, especially hydrogen energy, the effects of affiliation and government funding (or lack thereof) on bias can be observed, general sentiment in the professional arena towards the different technologies (positive or negative) can be discerned, and the best funding strategy for the DOE can be determined.
Independent Variable: The survey participants and their affiliations
Dependent Variable: Participants' opinions regarding hydrogen and the other alternative energy?
Purpose: To get an idea of people’s attitudes towards hydrogen energy, how they compare to Secretary Chu’s; find out whether the DOE’s money has been administered effectively; come up with a potentially useful strategy for DOE funding distribution. How is Mr. Chu doing?
Audience: US Dept of Energy; professionals in energy (university professors, researchers, industry etc.)
Category: Science Research (Alternative energy technology + survey + hydrogen technology research = science)
