The Advisors

      I was fortunate to have Ms. Brianna Creed for GT English my sophomore year, Advanced Composition my junior year, and for an Advisor my senior year. These past three years Ms. Creed has been the ideal teacher, mentor and friend, and critical to the development of my writing and creativity, and I would like to thank Ms. Creed for everything, because this story would be nowhere near what it is without her guidance and support.

     I was equally fortunate to meet Dr. Rena Bezilla through the Howard County GT monthly book club, during which students and teachers meet to discuss the multicultural book of the month. I really wish I had taken Independent Research sooner, for Dr. B has been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals and remembering that success is success, no matter how small. I would like to thank Dr. Bezilla for all her support and encouragement in everything that has occurred this year.
