I began this project in my Independent Research class my senior year of high school, and plan to continue it throughout college and beyond. Instead of researching a particular topic I began working on my first full-length novel, loosely rooted in a reimagining of the fairytale Cinderella. Originally I had intended for this story to take place in a single volume; however, after discussing the project with my advisor, Ms. Brianna Creed, it was agreed that this story would best be told in a quartet of novels (subject to change!). So far I have written a very, VERY rough draft of Book One and begun outlining the rest of the series; my goal for this coming year is to work primarily on Book 2, which will actually serve as a prequal to the other three books.

At least from the little I've seen here, the story world you've designed is absolutely intricate! It's clear you've done a lot of background research to make everything fit :) I'd definitely love to hear about your ideas and findings, particularly the benefits and difficulties in coming up with a full story using the Hero's Journey sometime!! Awesome job.
